Biography

 

Dr. Hamza Drid is a Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science at University of Batna 2, Algeria. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Rennes 1, France, in 2010. Prior to his doctoral studies, he earned a Master's degree from the University of Nancy, France, and an Engineering degree in Computer Systems from the University of Batna, Algeria.

He began his research career in 2007 by joining INRIA (the French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology) as a researcher, where he worked for more than three years. In 2010, he served as a temporary Assistant Professor at the University of Rennes 1. From 2011 to 2012, he was a researcher with the Optical Networks Group at Orange Labs (France Télécom).

In 2012, he joined the Capgemini Group, where his primary assignment was at Orange Business Services. There, he worked as a Software Developer and was later promoted to Team Lead of the platform responsible for managing the private enterprise networks of the Orange telecommunications operator. After four years at Capgemini, he joined the University of Batna 2 as an Associate Professor in 2017. Since 2019, he has been serving as Vice Dean in Charge of Studies of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science (MI) at the University of Batna 2.

He currently collaborates with several universities around the world, including Fordham University, University of South Florida, Université de Rennes 1 and Gustave Eiffel University, on research projects in networking, cybersecurity, and distributed systems.
