Djalal Hedjazi is a Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Batna 2, Algeria. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2011 and the Habilitation degree in 2016.
He served as Head of the Teaching Department from 2012 to 2014. He was also the Program Coordinator (Responsible) of the Master’s program "IRCO: Informatique Répartie et COllaborative (Distributed and Collaborative Computing)" from June 2015 to June 2018, and of the Master’s program "ISI: Ingénierie des Systèmes Informatiques (Computer Systems Engineering)" from January 2019 to April 2025.
He is currently the Chair of the Doctoral Training Committee and a team leader at the LaSTIC Laboratory (Laboratoire des Systèmes et Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication).
He has taught numerous undergraduate and graduate modules, including Distributed Systems, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Foundations and Tools of Collaborative Work, Concurrent and Distributed Programming, Distributed Application Development, Operating Systems, Web Services, and Principles of Groupware Systems, among others.
He has published numerous research articles in international journals and conference proceedings. He has supervised several Ph.D. and Master’s students. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Distributed Computing, Cooperative Systems, and Multi-Agent Systems.
